1. About Tora and our role
Tora provides personal buying support between Japan and Indonesia. At your request, we may coordinate the purchase of an item from a third-party seller, receive it in Japan, and arrange its onward journey to Indonesia.
Tora is not the seller or manufacturer of the item. Product descriptions, condition, authenticity, availability, and seller promises remain the responsibility of the third-party seller. Our role is limited to the services we confirm with you in writing.
2. Eligibility and accurate information
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate contact, order, payment, recipient, and delivery information and to update us promptly if it changes.
3. Requests and order confirmation
Sending a link or message is a request for assistance, not a confirmed purchase. We will check the request and provide an order summary through WhatsApp, email, or another agreed channel. An order becomes confirmed only after you accept that summary and complete the requested payment.
Prices and availability can change before a seller accepts a purchase. We may decline a request involving an unavailable, restricted, mispriced, unsafe, or suspicious item. If we cannot complete a purchase that you have already paid for, we will explain the outcome and return the applicable amount.
4. Amounts and payment
Your written order summary will state the amounts known at confirmation and explain any later amount that depends on measured weight, delivery requirements, customs, or another factor that cannot yet be known.
- You must follow the payment instructions provided by Tora and use an accepted payment method.
- Currency conversion may affect the final amount when a seller charges in Japanese yen and you pay in another currency.
- Third-party banks or payment services may apply their own terms and charges.
- A payment reference or receipt may be required before we act on a confirmed request.
5. Prohibited and restricted items
You may not ask us to buy, receive, carry, or deliver an item that is illegal, counterfeit, unsafe, restricted for export from Japan, restricted for import into Indonesia, or not accepted by a service partner. This includes weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, hazardous or flammable materials, living animals, protected plants, certain food, currency, and age-restricted goods where prohibited. You are responsible for checking whether your requested item is lawful.
6. Receipt, holding, and preparation
We may receive and hold an item in Japan while preparing it for a scheduled journey. Any holding period, grouping of related items, repacking, inspection, photography, or special handling must be agreed with us. Items left without instructions or payment after reasonable notice may be treated as abandoned where the law allows.
7. Delivery, customs, and timing
Delivery timing is an estimate and can be affected by the seller, domestic delivery in Japan, scheduled routes, customs, weather, and local delivery conditions. You are responsible for lawful import, accurate recipient information, and any customs duties, taxes, inspections, or government charges that apply. We will not understate an item's value or misdescribe its contents.
8. Item condition
Items may be sold as-is, especially when pre-owned. Unless we agree to a specific inspection in writing, Tora does not test, authenticate, or guarantee an item's quality or condition. Photos or basic visual checks do not replace a professional inspection.
9. Changes, cancellation, and returns
Once a third-party purchase has been made on your instructions, it may not be possible to change or cancel it. Any return depends on the seller's policy, applicable law, item condition, timing, and the practical ability to return the item. You are responsible for resulting costs unless the law or our written agreement says otherwise.
10. Responsible use
You agree not to misuse Tora's website, communications, staff, or service. You must not violate law, infringe another person's rights, provide false information, interfere with systems, commit fraud, launder funds, evade sanctions, or use the service in a way that creates unreasonable risk.
11. Intellectual property
Tora's name, mark, website, original text, design, and other brand materials are owned by Tora or its licensors and protected by law. Product names, images, and descriptions belong to their respective owners. No ownership rights are transferred to you by using the site or service.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and service are provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted communications, seller performance, item availability, delivery timing, or outcomes outside our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profit or data. Tora's total liability for a claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid to Tora for the service giving rise to that claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Suspension and changes
We may refuse or stop providing the service when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, non-payment, suspected misuse, or another legitimate reason. We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The revised terms will show a new last-updated date.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction identified in your service agreement (placeholder), without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law applies. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@tora.example.
